Esri Technical Certification Updates

The 10.1 versions of the Enterprise Geodatabase Management Associate and Web Application Developer Associate exams are now available. Interested candidates can register to take an exam at any Pearson Vue testing center worldwide. Be sure to carefully review the qualifications and skills measured by the exam before registering.

We have improved the Training Resources section on all certification web pages. The redesign is intended to clearly show which skills measured by an exam are covered in each resource listed. This should help candidates better identify appropriate resources for their individual exam preparation needs. View example

GIS-Enabling the Web

Pinde Fu, Senior Application Developer Lead, was one of the Esri technical experts who helped design exam questions for the Web Application Developer Associate 10.1 certification. He predicts that in the future web GIS will be broadly used to expand capabilities in business, science, and government.

Web GIS is the new and promising field. It unlocks the power of GIS by putting online maps and geospatial intelligence in the homes of millions, in the hands of billions. Many organizations are depending on their employees to stay competitive to take advantage of today’s web world and technology.
