Creating Hosted Map Services with ArcGIS Online

You can now easily find, create, and share web maps using ArcGIS Online. In this seminar, the presenters show how and why you can use ArcGIS Online to host your services. These hosted services scale to meet demand and can be used to extend your GIS capabilities. You can take advantage of your ArcGIS Online subscription to make your services available to specific groups or even open them to the general public. The presenters also demonstrate best practices for authoring maps using ArcGIS for Desktop as well as how to publish your maps to ArcGIS Online as a hosted service. You will learn how to enable your web map with editing capabilities and how map features can be edited remotely in a browser and using ArcGIS for Desktop.
