Loss Estimation Using the Hazus-MH 2.0 Earthquake Model
This course builds upon the Introduction to the Hazus-MH 2.0 Earthquake Model course. The many analysis parameters you can set in Hazus-MH to conduct earthquake analysis are addressed. You will explore the physical damage model for earthquakes, damage functions for buildings, building losses, loss of use and building debris, hazard parameters, sheltering, and economic losses. By learning methodology behind the software, you will be equipped to make educated decisions about how to approach an earthquake analysis and utilize its results.
Who Should Attend
Community planners, emergency managers, academics, and any other person or organization involved with managing risks to communities from earthquakes will benefit from this course.
