Introduction to the Hazus-MH 2.0 Earthquake Model
This course will introduce you to the components of the Hazus-MH earthquake model. You will be provided with a general overview of how earthquakes occur and learn the difference between a deterministic and probabilistic earthquake scenario and explore examples of each. In learning the methodology behind the software, you will become better equipped to make educated decisions about how to approach an earthquake analysis and utilize its results.
Community planners, emergency managers, academics, and any other person or organization involved with managing risks to communities from earthquakes will benefit from this course.
Completion of Getting Started with Hazus-MH 2.0 or equivalent knowledge about the Hazus program is required.
