This course teaches planning and design workflows to iteratively model, visualize, and assess the impact of individual issues on an overall design plan. You will learn how to apply geodesign concepts and ArcGIS best practices to support rapid evaluation of design alternatives. Some course exercises use ArcGIS Spatial Analyst and ArcGIS 3D Analyst.

Note: Course concepts apply to both ArcGIS 10.2 and 10.3. Esri will provide ArcGIS 10.3 software for use during class.

GIS and design professionals, as well as academics and researchers working in fields such as urban planning, environmental planning, landscape architecture, and civil engineering who need to apply geodesign techniques

Prerequisites

Completion of ArcGIS 2: Essential Workflows or equivalent knowledge and proficiency in applying geodesign principles is required.
