At version 10.2, ArcGIS is a complete platform that individuals and organizations use to find, explore, create, and share maps; collaborate in groups and communities; and deploy GIS resources wherever they are needed. In this workshop, the instructor discusses major enhancements to the ArcGIS platform and demonstrates the more intuitive workflows now available to visualize, edit, analyze, and share GIS data and maps.
What can I expect if I attend this workshop?
This workshop is intended to help you be productive right away when you start working with ArcGIS 10.2. The instructor will show workflows to complete common tasks in ArcMap and new, more efficient ways to access GIS resources and share your GIS work. Time is set aside for open question and answer (Q&A) sessions. You will get a digital file (PDF) of student reference materials, including a set of scripted ArcGIS 10.2 exercises with accompanying data.
Note: All exercises require a Standard license of ArcGIS 10.2 for Desktop. Two exercises require ArcGIS 3D Analyst, and one exercise uses ArcGIS Spatial Analyst.
Experienced ArcGIS 9.x for Desktop users who need an introduction to ArcGIS 10.2 workflows and concepts. Experienced ArcGIS 10.0 for Desktop users may also benefit.
Familiarity with GIS concepts and terminology and the ArcGIS 9.x environment is assumed.
