Getting Started with ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/WPF
Overview
Web developers can create cross-browser and cross-platform interactive GIS Web applications using the ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/WPF. This powerful and free API allows you to use any .NET framework supported language (e.g., C#, Visual Basic) to add GIS capabilities and to consume services from ArcGIS Server and Bing Maps for Enterprise in your applications.
This seminar provides an overview of the tools and concepts needed to create your first Web mapping application using the ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/WPF. The presenter demonstrates the features and functionality of the API and capabilities of the Silverlight framework. In addition, you learn how to quickly create a rich Web mapping application that includes GIS maps and tasks using the ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/WPF and sample services available online.
